  • August 24, 2011 - Made some corrections to Cosie's Biography, including the addition of a more recent photo from 2010!
  • August 18, 2011 - We were extremely thrilled and honored when the wonderful Dianne Kay recently shared her memories of working on the C.A.P.E.R. episode The Goodfather with us!  Many thanks to Dianne for taking the time to share her wonderful story with us!  And we have now added a brand new pages for the Guest Stars of the series, both Male and Female, which we hope to expand in the future!
  • August 12, 2011 - Thanks to Steve Malone, who was a close, personal friend of Biff Warren, we have now updated Biff's Biography (the new information is written in red to make it easier to find) and added several wonderful new Photos of Biff from Steve's personal collection.  Our sincere thanks to Steve for taking the time to provide us with this material and insight into Biff's life!
  • August 7, 2011 - Many, many thanks to Nick for alerting us to this Jack in the Box commercial from 1979 on YouTube featuring Steve Bonino as a dramatized contest winner in a tie-in with the movie Meteor!
  • August 1, 2011 - Normally we would add an MP3 of the next audio episode to the site today, but we still have not obtained a copy of episode #8, The Post Monster General.  However, we will have some very cool updates coming soon this month, so stay tuned!  And we will be back to post episode #9 on September 1st.
  • July 28, 2011 - We have added pictures of the different album labels to The Album section!
  • July 1, 2011 - You can now find an MP3 file of the seventh episode, The Goodfather, which you can download to your computer or MP3 player to enjoy any time!

  • June 22, 2011 - A very Happy Birthday to Cosie Costa today!  Wishing you a wonderful day!
  • June 1, 2011 - We have now uploaded an MP3 file of the sixth episode, Mummy's the Word, which you can download to your computer or MP3 player!
  • May 1, 2011 - Happy May Day . . . now before you start dancing around a Maypole, why not download the MP3 file of the fifth episode, Invasion of the Frankfurter Snatchers, to your computer or MP3 player?  Then you'll know to beware before eating any hot dogs on this festive Spring day!
  • April 24, 2011 - Added three new articles to our website which you can now peruse!  First, The Kids from C.A.P.E.R. Love Horoscope (see which Kid you'd be most compatible with!)  And then a quick report about John while he was working on the movie Sunnyside with Joey Travolta from an April 1979 issue of Teen Beat.  And finally a really interesting At Home with John Lansing article, also from 1979.
  • April 13, 2011 - Just learned that teen magazine founder Charles Laufer has passed away at the age of 87.  Laufer Publications were great advocates of The Kids from C.A.P.E.R., featuring them in many of their publications from late 1976 well through 1977!  Thank you, Charles, for your coverage of our favorite show and all your fun work over the years!  In remembrance, why not take a moment to revisit those days by viewing our collection of some of their magazine articles?
  • April 1, 2011 - It's no joke . . . we have now uploaded an MP3 file of the fourth episode, The Uncanny Nanny, which you can download to your computer or MP3 player!
  • March 7, 2011 - We are very excited and honored to bring you our exclusive interview with former C.A.P.E.R. Kid John Lansing, which we have now posted to the Actors section!
  • March 1, 2011 - Today marks the one year anniversary of The C.A.P.E.R. Project, and what an exciting year it's been!  To celebrate, we hope to have some exciting new things coming to the site very soon!  But in the meantime, you can now download and enjoy an MP3 copy of the third episode The Ghost from C.A.P.E.R.!
  • February 1, 2011 - We have now uploaded an MP3 file of the second episode, The Kids from H.Y.D.E., which you can download to your computer or MP3 player!  And we'd like to wish Steve Bonino a very Happy Birthday today as well!
  • January 27, 2011 - We have updated John's Biography Page to include his latest writing venture, the non-fiction book Good Cop, Bad Money which he has co-authored with former NYPD Deputy Inspector Glen Morisano.  The book is now available to purchase from Barnes and Noble's website!
  • January 18, 2011 - We have just learned that Don Kirshner passed away of heart failure in Boca Raton, Florida, yesterday. With such a remarkable amount of credits to his name and years of groundbreaking contributions to the music industry, his epitaphs and memorials will no doubt shine, giving credit to the sorely underrated impresario who gave us so much memorable musical material over the years. Of course we will always remember and thank him for giving us The Kids from C.A.P.E.R, and those we've had the chance to speak with who worked on the show only had complimentary comments about their boss and mentor.  Thank you, Donnie, for all you've given us, C.A.P.E.R. being just one of them.

 

  • December 31, 2010 - To celebrate what has been an exciting year for C.A.P.E.R. fans and to help ring in the New Year (which will mark the 35th anniversary of the show!) we wanted to do something special.  So we are now offering the complete audio episode Too Much Time on Their Hands in MP3 format which you can download directly to favorite listening device!  Just click on the link above and go to the bottom of the page to find the link.  And we will upload a new audio episode every month for you to enjoy! And you can also now listen to the original uncut version of When It Hit Me from that episode as well (posted on the same page above!)  Many thanks once again to Heavy Metal Steve Wann for providing us with copies of these episodes to convert!  Happy New Year!!
  • December 22, 2010 - We've added a better quality copy of this publicity still, along with the NBC press information which accompanied it! 
  • December 20, 2010 - Steve Araujo, creator of The Bass Hang, interviewed Steve Bonino this month and the result is this fascinating video in which we get to hear Steve talk about his vocal and instrumental background!  You can watch the interview on The Bass Hang website and YouTube! 
  • December 19, 2010 - What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by listening to Rob Hegel's wonderful song It's Almost Christmas as performed by Rob with the lovely Nataly Lola?  Here is the video for the song, which you can purchase from Amazon.com, CDBaby.com and iTunes!
  • December 6, 2010 - We recently obtained an original copy of this Cast Photo which also included the NBC press information!
  • November 30, 2010 - Thanks again to C.A.P.E.R. fan Ron who also provided us with some interesting general press release material from NBC for the series, which you can now find in the Show section!
  • November 21, 2010 - Many thanks to long-time C.A.P.E.R. fan Ron who sent us the original NBC Biography pages for all of the C.A.P.E.R. Kids!  We have added them to the Actors section under each of their names, as well as updating all of their Biographies with new information!
  • November 10, 2010 - Added Steve's first appearance on Phyllis to his Videos page, as well as new footage of The Trip performing at the Dodge Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon in L.A.!
  • November 5, 2010 - Added some new articles about John Lansing from 16 Magazine from 1979 to the Articles section, as well as the magazine's look back at the past stage stars of Grease.
  • October 21, 2010 - Thanks to Erin, we have added an MP3 copy of the alternative version of the song I Wanna Love You to The Post Monster General page in the Episodes section!
  • October 15, 2010 - Added an MP3 copy of the song You're Under My Spell from the original television broadcast of the episode The Terrible Tollman to the Music section!

  • September 18, 2010 - Thanks to Nancy over at the Yahoo! C.A.P.E.R. Room, we have added a link to one of Cosie's Port Charles appearances which has been posted on YouTube to our Videos section!
  • September 11, 2010 - In celebration of the 34th anniversary of The Kids from C.A.P.E.R.'s debut on NBC, we have upgraded one of the Cast Photos to a much better quality copy (as well as added the NBC publicity write-up which originally accompanied it) and we have also worked the picture into a brand new Wallpaper for you to download to use on your computer!
  • September 7, 2010 - We have now added an MP3 copy of the song Baby Blue to the site from the original television broadcast which you can listen to and save!
  • August 21, 2010 - Added a publicity still from the Smilin' Saturday Mornin' special to our Photos section, thanks to Suzanne of the Remembering Freddie website.

  • June 25, 2010 - Added verified information about The Great NBC Smilin' Saturday Mornin' Parade special to our Show History section.  Also added a new page which extends Thanks and Credit to everyone who has so generously contributed to the website and has assisted us in our research!
  • June 22, 2010 - We've added new pages in The Characters section, if you know where to look!  Go to that section and then go into the character profiles for any of the Kids.  Under "Clothes" you can now either click again on the blue "clothes" button or click anywhere on the main graphic and you will find information about their original outfits from the "When the Big Bologna was blue" episodes! 
  • June 21, 2010 - Many thanks to Geoff at The C.A.P.E.R. Room Yahoo! group for pointing out that John Lansing was the co-executive producer of the premiere of Scoundrels which debuted last night (along with his longtime writing partner, Bruce Cervi!)  You can still catch the debut episode on ABC.com!
  • June 20, 2010 - Added head shots of John, Biff and Cosie from the Academy Players Directory to their respective Publicity Photo Pages.
  • June 19, 2010 - Added some articles from two more issues of 16 Magazine, dated July 1977 and January 1978, to our Articles section!
  • June 17, 2010 - C.A.P.E.R. fan Cathy was kind enough to point out to us that there's a brand new photo of John Lansing which has been posted to his IMDb page!  Definitely be sure to check it out!
  • June 16, 2010 - Thanks to the wonderfully generous Steve Bonino, who wanted to make the two episodes of C.A.P.E.R. he had on DVD available for ALL the fans to view, you can now watch really nice copies of both Phantom of the Drive-In and King Cone on our Videos page, as well as our YouTube Channel!  Thanks also to Heavy Metal Steve Wann, who was the conduit by which this was able to happen!  Steve and Steve, you are both the best!
  • May 29, 2010 - Thanks to Heavy Metal Steve Wann, we have added three new color photos of the C.A.P.E.R. Kids to our Show Photos section!  Plus an article from a December 1976 issue of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer TV Prevue to our Articles section!  Steve, you totally rock!
