A site devoted to the 1976 Saturday morning show, The Kids from: C.A.P.E.R.
Those who remember it can never forget it . . . and still love it.

Our mission statement: To thoroughly research the show, give it the recognition it deserves, locate the episodes and finally get them released on DVD!

This website is a work in progress!  While we will have no set schedule to update, we will add information and news whenever it becomes available to us!  Any and all updates will be posted in the box below and on our Twitter page, so be sure to check back with us often!

  • January 3, 2011 - We're really excited to let you know that Steve Bonino has now launched his newly revised website, and the exciting part is he's now offering fans a free song download every month!  January's free song, the hauntingly beautiful Come Out and Play, is now available to play or save to your favorite listening device!  And be sure to let Steve know what you think about both his site and song via his blog!
  • December 31, 2011 - Happy New Year . . . almost!  To help ring in the New Year right, we have added a few articles about John to our site, which you can find here, here and here!  And check back with us in the next few days for exciting news about how you will soon be able to download some of Steve's original songs for free!
  • December 25, 2011 - Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from The C.A.P.E.R. Project!  We hope to have many more fun and exciting new things to share with you in the New Year, so stay tuned!
  • December 16, 2011 - We have a perfect Christmas treat for you, C.A.P.E.R. fans, and it's all thanks to the thoughtful and wonderful Dianne Kay, who surprised us by sending us a copy of the original script for The Goodfather episode in which she appeared!  We were especially surprised to find so many of our questions answered by character development in this early draft!  Why does P.T. wear a safari suit?  Why is Doomsday holding a turtle in the beginning of the missing footage from Mummy's the Word?  And what exactly is the little statue and book which Bugs wears on his belt?  We now have the answers to these and other questions, and it's all thanks to Dianne Kay!  Thank you so much, Dianne!
  • December 14, 2011 - We were very pleased to find that Father Bob Lussier's interview on the local cable television series Spirituality has been posted on YouTube, and we have embedded it on Robert Lussier's page.  Entitled "Transformation," the episode includes an interesting Entertainment Tonight segment in which Father Lussier explains his choice to leave the entertainment industry to become a Benedictine Monk.  We have also added a link on the bottom of his page to a very detailed article about Robert Lussier's life, both past and present.
  • December 9, 2011 - A very happy birthday on what would have been Biff Warren's 56th birthday (or perhaps his 57th, as we believe now he was actually born in 1954!)  We hope everyone will take a moment and think of Biff today.  Thanks!
  • December 8, 2011 - We are very pleased to have learned that Don Kirshner was this year's recipient of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Ahmet Ertegun award for a non-performer for his obvious contributions to the world of rock music!  This is a well-deserved honor for "The Man With the Golden Ear" and we only wish it had come before his death earlier this year.
  • December 6, 2011 - We have now posted a brand new promotional video for Steve's cover band, The Trip, to our Videos page, as well as embedding Steve's interview last year with The Bass Hang!
  • November 17, 2011 - Would like to direct everyone's attention to Rob Hegel's new website!  Lots of great music to be found, including embedded videos of a couple of his C.A.P.E.R. songs!  More to come, hopefully in the near future!
  • November 11, 2011 - 11/11/11 is indeed a special day!  We were surprised when the wonderful Dianne Kay sent us a photo she found with the C.A.P.E.R. Kids on the set of her episode "The Goodfather!"  You can check out the photo here (there is also a link to see a larger, cleaned-up version in the Photo Gallery!)  Also, the first part of Dianne's interview with the podcast Reimagine That has now been posted and she and Chris Mann talk briefly about The C.A.P.E.R. Project!  Thanks, guys!  It's a terrific interview you won't want to miss!
  • November 1, 2011 - We have now added the MP3 file of the eleventh episode, Dunga Gin, featuring Valerie Landsburg, which you can download directly to your computer or MP3 player!
  • October 16, 2011 - Very Happy Birthday wishes go out to John Lansing today from all the fans at The C.A.P.E.R. Project!  Hope you have a wonderful day!!
  • October 12, 2011 - We were very excited to see that Andria Litto has now posted her short promotional film, A Scrooge Meets Cinderella Story, starring John Lansing, to Vimeo!  It's a very clever and funny film and John is wonderful in it!  (Note: it does contain some adult language, but we're all adults now, right?)
  • October 1, 2011 - We have now posted an MP3 file of the tenth episode, The Terrible Tollman, which you can download to your computer or MP3 player to help bring back your memories of C.A.P.E.R.!
  • September 10, 2011 - This weekend marks the 35th Anniversary of C.A.P.E.R. with the airing of The Great NBC Smilin' Saturday Mornin' Parade on September 10th, 1976 and the premiere of The Kids from C.A.P.E.R. on September 11, 1976.  To celebrate this monumental anniversary, we have now updated the Saturday Mornin' Preview page with all kinds of interesting information, including scripts, production notes and cast listings.  It's a fascinating look at the production of this one-time special which first introduced NBC's audiences to our favorite Saturday morning show!
  • September 1, 2011 - You can now download an MP3 file of the ninth episode, The Pieman's Pool, to your computer or MP3 player to enjoy any time!
